As a small business we’re proud to help where we can. That’s why we’re working with a number of charities and organisations to provide our Kefir products to NHS workers and community members needing assistance.
Some of these initiatives include –
The Bread and Butter Thing is a charity making life more affordable for people on a low income, helping their little disposable income go further. We’ve donated over 3,000 Kefir and Kefir Protein products to support the outreach this charity does.
City Harvest is a charity on the frontline of the COVID-19 emergency, distributing nourishing food to 300 organisations that feed the vulnerable. We’ve donated nearly 10,000 Kefir and Kefir Protein products.
As part of our sustainability initiatives, we’ve sent zero consumable food to landfill since 2018. One of the outlets we work with to distribute any surplus that’s perfectly safe to be eaten is The Company Shop. During this crisis, The Company Shop is distributing these good products to communities in need and frontline workers. We’re proud to contribute and do our bit .
And we will continue to do what we can to support as many people as we can during these challenging times.
Cook 19 are a non-profit providing community cooked meals and supplies to NHS workers, and we’ve donated nearly 10,000 Kefir and Kefir Protein products so far.
FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 17 independent organisations. Together, they redistribute surplus food to almost 11,000 front line charities and community groups that turn it into meals for those in need. We’ve donated nearly 5,000 Kefir products to support the initiative.
The Felix Project is a London-based charity focused on re-distributing food surplus to help feed the 1.5 million adults in London who struggle to afford food and the 400,000 children at risk of missing their next meal. Their Coronavirus response includes getting food to children, families, the homeless, elderly, people with mental health issues, domestic abuse survivors, refugees and NHS staff. We’ve donated nearly 3,000 bottles of our Strawberry Kefir and Cacao Kefir.
Set up in response to COVID-19, One Million Meals is a charitable initiative from social entrepreneurs, doctors and food-preneurs to feed NHS staff free-of-cost nutritious meals. Many of the staff are working 16 to 18-hour shifts, and it’s important to keep their energies intact. We’ve donated over 2,000 Kefir products.
The health and safety of our own employees and supply chain workers is always important to us. We’re following all government advice to support the health and safety of everyone who works with us, while continuing to supply our range of Kefir products to grocery stores, frontline workers and local communities.
