Light and refreshing summer smoothie

This Summer Berry Smoothie Bowl is a show stopper

 Forget green smoothies, pink is where it’s at.

Combining raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, bananas and more, this smoothie is a sweet treat that counts towards your 5 a day.

And the figurative cherry on top? (Yes, you could add pitted and chopped cherries to this smoothie bowl – that’d be delicious!) You can support digestive health with this summer berry smoothie bowl.

The fruit contains fibre which can aid digestion and support healthy bowel movements, while the Kefir contains live, gut-friendly cultures considered crucial to healthy digestion. Discover the link between Kefir and Gut Health.

In this recipe we’ve used our Kefir Original, but you can always swap in for another flavour – Kefir Mango, Kefir Strawberry and Kefir Blackcurrant would all be delicious choices.

Ingredients

  • 250ml Biotiful Kefir Original
  • A handful of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp. goji berries
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp. pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin and sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp. raw honey
  • A handful of desiccated coconut
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: edible flowers to garnish

Instructions

  • Blitz the Kefir, banana, honey and half the berries together in a high-powered blender with a handful of ice cubes.
  • Pour into a bowl and decorate with the remaining berries, seeds and coconut.

 Serves 1
