If you love a savoury snack, this Savoury Sardine Dip or Sauce will hit the spot. It’s as delicious with crisps or pita bread to dip as it is on toast or stirred into pasta.
When serving with pasta, you can make a meal of it by adding your favourite veggies, either raw or cooked. We’ve used chopped tomatoes, red onion and spinach.
Sardines are the hero in this recipe, offering a source of Omega-3, vitamin B-12, vitamin D, niacin, iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus. And, of course, the recipe is protein packed.
This recipe was written by Hannah Webb during a two week challenge to swap in Kefir or Kefir Protein in place of another ingredient in a meal each day.
To serve: toast, pasta, or crisps / pita bread to dip.
Mix everything in a blender, until smooth. Then spread over toast, mix into cool pasta or serve with crisps / pita bread to dip.
