This Kefir, Banana & Cacao Ice Cream is both tasty and highly nutritious.

What’s more this Kefir dessert, it’s incredibly easy to make!

Combine the Kefir with a frozen banana, almond butter (peanut butter, hazelnut butter, or any other nut butter will work well, too!) and cacao to make this indulgent and protein packed dessert.

Bananas are the UK’s most popular fruit, and according to BBC Good Food we each eat approximately 100 bananas a year! And it’s no wonder, because bananas are an excellent source of potassium which helps regulate muscle contractions, and a high potassium diet may help maintain normal blood pressure.

  • One frozen banana
  • 250ml of Kefir
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1-2 tbsp of cacao powder
  • Toppings (optional): raw cacao nibs, raspberries, almond flakes, etc.

Simply whiz together one frozen banana, 250ml of Kefir, 1 tbsp almond butter and 1-2 tbsp of cacao powder in a high power blender and then top with raw cacao nibs. Delicious and nutritious!
