How to make home-made granola

This simple granola recipe is full of natural, wholesome ingredients and is delicious covered with our Kefir or Baked Milk.


  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup barley flakes
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp honey or rice syrup
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • A handful of pecans, almonds and seeds
  • A handful of currants and dried cranberries
  • 1 small pinch of sea salt


Heat the oil, nut butter and honey or rice syrup on a low heat until combined. Then simply mix together all of the ingredients (except the dried fruit) and spread onto a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, or until very lightly toasted. Once cooled, stir in the dried fruit. This granola can be kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy with fresh fruit and a generous helping of Kefir or Baked Milk.
