Don’t be put off by the colour of this smoothie, it is so nutritious and tasty, the cacao and banana are definitely the dominant flavours here!


  • 250ml Kefir
  • 1 handful of baby spinach leaves
  • ½ banana (frozen chunks ideally)
  • Half a carrot
  • A chunk of cucumber
  • 1 tsp Spirulina
  • 1 tsp cacao powder and a handful of cacao nibs

Simply place all of the ingredients into a blender and whiz  until you obtain a smooth consistency. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Adding Spirulina boosts the nutritional value of this smoothie, and of course Kefir has plenty of health benefits on its own too.
