Creamy Avocado, Cashew & Kefir Dip

Simply serve with chopped veg or crisps to dip

The humble avocado has risen the culinary ranks to become a brunch staple over the past few years (avocado on toast, anyone?), and now we bring you a delicious new way to enjoy it as a creamy avocado dip that’s great for dinner parties and movie night alike.

Like guacamole, this dip is great with crisps, vegetables and as a side dish. But what makes it really stand out from guacamole is the creamy and naturally tangy Kefir combined with the sweet, nutty richness of the cashews. Which, by the way, are actually seeds! That’s right: cashews aren’t technically nuts, even though they generally get treated like nuts in the kitchen.

  • 1 cup (250ml) Biotiful Kefir
  • ½ cup cashews
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • fresh or dried chilli
  • few fresh parsley leaves
  • salt & pepper


In a food processor, blend the cashew nuts until finely crushed. Scoop out the contents of the avocados and add into the food processor. Add lemon juice, the olive oil and chilli. Blend until creamy. Flavour with salt and pepper & decorate with a few parsley leaves.
