Simple and easy Kefir Chia Pudding for breakfast or snack

Best prepared the night before

Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most satisfying, and this simple and easy Kefir Chia Pudding is no exception!

A creamy and nutritious dish that’s best prepared the night before. Enjoy for breakfast, as a post workout snack or a nutritious dessert.

Kefir is a cultured Dairy drink that’s packed with protein, contains billions of gut-friendly bacteria, naturally supports immune health and can aid healthy digestion, too! This naturally fermented drink originated in the Caucasus Mountains 2,000 years ago, and here at Biotiful we use the ancient method of fermentation to make our modern-day version.

Small and mighty, the chia seeds are rich in antioxidants and offer nutritional value with omega-3 fatty acids, fibre (which can also aid healthy digestion), phosphorous and magnesium.

How’s that for such a “simple” dish?

Ingredients:

  • 250ml Biotiful Kefir (any flavour)
  • 50g fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Topping, optional: mulberries, fresh herbs (e.g. mint), chopped nuts or other topping of choice
  • In a glass jar* or bowl add the Kefir, blueberries, chia seeds, vanilla and honey. *A cleaned and upcycled jam, pasta sauce or peanut butter jar works well here!
  • Either secure the lid to the jar and shake or stir the ingredients until combined then cover.
  • Refrigerate the mixture for a few hours or overnight.
  • Optional: before serving, add your toppings of choice.
