These Sage and Kefir buns are a great snack to serve if you’ve got friends coming over. Not only do they have a lovely, buttery taste but they go great with a savoury dip.
First mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a bowl. Then cut the butter into pieces and add this to the mixture. In a separate bowl whisk together the Kefir, eggs and chopped sage then slowly add the flour mixture until everything comes together.
Transfer the dough to a floured work surface, roll into a one-inch thick rectangle and then cut into squares. Bake for 40 minutes at 180 C. When done, brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley, sage and salt.
