Naturally slightly sweeter than our original Kefir, our Baked Milk Kefir is luxuriously smooth and creamy. Following the authentic recipe, we gently bake the milk before adding the authentic live cultures, creating a deliciously mellow taste.

Made with only the highest quality British milk and authentic cultures, Baked Milk Kefir (Riazhenka) is packed with billions of gut-friendly bacteria and is naturally high in protein and calcium. Full of essential vitamins (including B12 and B2), it’s also free from any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and naturally low in lactose. And, despite the slightly sweeter taste, there’s absolutely no added sugar.

Poured over muesli or granola, or simply drunk on its own, it’s the perfect breakfast ingredient. The sumptuous thick texture means it also makes for a satisfying and tasty, wholesome snack or dessert. There are many delicious Baked Milk Kefir recipes and uses to discover.


Pasteurised cow’s milk fermented with live riazhenka cultures*. (The milk is gently baked before it is fermented, following the authentic centuries recipe.)

* Live riazhenka cultures contain amongst others: Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus.

Storage instructions

Keep refrigerated under 5°C. Shake well before opening and consume within 2 days. Enjoy chilled.
