A recently published meta-analysis of 23 studies suggests that probiotics – the good bacteria found in fermented foods like kefir, sauerkraut and kimchi – may be helpful when it comes to improving allergy symptoms and overall quality of life for people suffering from allergic rhinitis (i.e. hay fever).

The study, conducted by researchers at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Tennessee, came out in the April 2015 issue of International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology, shedding light upon yet another potential superpower of probiotics.
